THE MURALS OF BUDDUSO'
In the heart of Buddusò, the murals are a true open-air museum, able to tell the soul of the town through images, colors and stories painted on the walls. This tradition began in 1994 with the first live mural-painting event, an occasion that involved artists and the community, leaving an indelible mark on the urban fabric. The initiative was then revived in 2014 and 2015, further enriching the town’s artistic heritage.
The murals created in these editions portray daily life, folk traditions and the history of Buddusò, turning the streets into a visual route that guides residents and visitors in discovering local identity. Scenes of work, festivals, old trades and moments of community life take shape on the walls, creating a dialogue between past and present.
More recently, between 2019 and 2020, the project expanded with the creation of murals dedicated to the town’s centenarians: works that celebrate historical memory and pay tribute to the people who have helped build the community over time.
Walking through Buddusò thus means immersing yourself in a widespread narrative, where each mural is a stop that invites you to observe, reflect and discover.
